UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA AND WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA’S BEST GOLF COURSES TO BE PART OF NATION’S LARGEST ONE-DAY CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina are the home of some of the country’s most outstanding golf courses, and 12 of these courses will be hosting this year’s BI-LO Charity Classic, the nation’s largest one-day charity golf tournament.

BI-LO CHARITIES AND WESTERN UNION FOUNDATION DONATE MORE THAN $282,000 TO AMERICAN RED CROSS
When BI-LO Charities heard of the devastation caused in Haiti by the earthquakes this past January the organization immediately developed a program to support the victims of the tragedy and launched an initiative to raise funds for the American Red Cross in BI-LO stores. As a result of this fundraising program, BI-LO Charities and the Western Union Foundation recently presented a check to the American Red Cross for more than $282,000.

TICKETS TO BI-LO CHARITIES AUCTION AVAILABLE TO PUBLIC FOR FIRST TIME
Before golfers hit the links for the BI-LO Charity Classic golf tournament on Monday, June 7, the Auction and Pairing Party brings people from across the country together to enjoy fine cuisine and a the area’s largest charity auction event. This year tickets to the Charity Classic Auction and Pairings Party, to be held at the Hartness Estate in Greenville, S.C., on Sunday, June 6, will be available to the public for the first time ever.

BI-LO CHARITIES INVITES MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO SUPPORT LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
The BI-LO Charity Classic, the nation’s largest one-day charity golf tournament, has raised more than $48 million since 1983 to support hundreds of organizations across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee that focus on assisting with children’s needs, education and hunger relief. From May 3 through June 12, members of the community can join BI-LO in supporting local non-profits.

CHARITY CLASSIC IMPACTS UPSTATE S.C. ECONOMY WHILE RAISING FUNDS FOR CHARITY
