BI-LO Charity Classic
The BI-LO Charity Classic is an annual charity golf tournament held in Greenville, South Carolina. Its purpose is to raise funds for charitable organizations within the communities BI-LO serves in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. In its 26-year history, the Charity Classic has raised over $48 million. The 27th BI-LO Charity Classic will be on June 7, 2010. Please call us at 864-286-5895 or click here to register. Sippin Safari
With proceeds benefiting the Greenville Zoo towards the Ed-zoo-cation Programs, this annual wine tasting fundraiser has become quite a hit in the Upstate. Money raised in past events have gone towards funding the travel of the giraffes, Walter and Autumn. Wine and food tasting stations are set up throughout the zoo showcasing BI-LO’s best wine, deli, and bakery vendors. This event is strictly 21 and for adults and ID must be shown at the gate for entry. Thank you again for making the 4th Annual Sippin' Safari a record breaking year. Habitat House
BI-LO Charities’ commitment to its communities occasionally reaches beyound children, education, and hunger relief. BI-LO teammates wanted the opportunity to give back to the community in another way; by building a Habitat for Humanity house. Four years and four family homes later, this annual event draws over 300 BI-LO teammates and community volunteers in the ultimate give-back project.
Susan G. Komen
BI-LO Charities supports those who volunteer their time, talent, and resources to better the lives of those affected by breast cancer in our communities. For the past 14 years, BI-LO Charities and BI-LO have supported the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. BI-LO Charities support races throughout our markets so the battle of breast cancer is fought one step at a time. For more information on the local races please check back with us soon.
Hunger Relief
BI-LO Charities recognizes the need of those in our communities who do not have the ability to feed themselves or their families. Currently two major Hunger Relief scan programs take place annually; one in the summer and one during the holiday season. You can participate and keep your local food banks stocked with a $5 donation. Holiday Hunger Relief will be in stores from November 11 through December 26, 2010. Each BI-LO store near you has selected a food bank in their community.
Playground Build
BI-LO Charities, East Brainerd Elementary and the East Brainerd community are teaming up to build a much needed playground for the school. For more information on the school, please click here. Please check back here soon for updates on the build.
