Grant Information
Since 1984, BI-LO Charities has invested over $50 million into our local communities. Over 500 grant requests are received annually totaling more than twice the money available for reinvestment. Given the constraints of our ability to fund and our mission to support, funding preferences will be made as follows:
Preference will be given to organizations that:
- Meet our philanthropic focus to support children, education and hunger relief
- Meet identified needs in their community
- Seek community partnerships that leverage additional support
- Are local non-profit organizations with a significant client service base that positively impacts the community
- Convey strong fiscal management with an acceptable ratio of indirect costs of 35% or less
- Demonstrate a willingness to promote their partnership with us to their board, donor constituents, and the community at large
