TICKETS TO BI-LO CHARITIES AUCTION AVAILABLE TO PUBLIC FOR FIRST TIME
Charity Classic Auction Offers One-of-A-Kind Experience
While Raising Funds for Hundreds of Non-Profit Organizations
GREENVILLE, S.C. (May 13, 2010) – Before golfers hit the links for the BI-LO Charity Classic golf tournament on Monday, June 7, the Auction and Pairing Party brings people from across the country together to enjoy fine cuisine and a the area’s largest charity auction event. This year tickets to the Charity Classic Auction and Pairings Party, to be held at the Hartness Estate in Greenville, S.C., on Sunday, June 6, will be available to the public for the first time ever.
The Charity Classic Auction and Pairings Party will feature multiple auctions: a Chinese auction, three silent auctions and a live auction. The live auction will feature a 2010 Saphire Blue Ford Mustang Convertible and several vacation packages, both local and exotic. Included in vacation offerings are a weekend at the Grove Park Inn, a Mediterrean Cruise, a spa package in San Paulo Brazil.
This one-of-a-kind event is held in a 45,000-square-foot, air-conditioned tent on the beautiful Hartness Estate, located off of Pelham Road in Greenville. The evening’s auctions, featuring more than 200 items, will have something for everyone, and the evening’s cuisine will be catered by Thornblade Club.
The cost for a ticket to the event is $75 per person or $120 per couple. Funds from ticket and auction sales benefit hundreds of non-profit organizations that support children’s needs, educations and hunger relief throughout BI-LO’s four-state operating area of South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. Last year alone the tournament raised more than $4.3 million, and BI-LO Charities has set the goal of raising $4.5 million this year.

Some of the highlights include a Whistler Ultimate Ski Vacation, a golf package on five Tom Fazio designed courses, and a Maytag washer & dryer. It truly is one of the best parties in the Upstate each year,” said BI-LO Charities Executive Director Carol Browning.

About the BI-LO Charity Classic
The BI-LO Charity Classic began in 1983 as a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels and has grown to be the largest one-day charity golf tournament in the country. During the past 26 years the tournament has raised more than $48 million to support hundreds of charities throughout BI-LO’s four-state operating area of South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia.
